THINGS I'M NOT DOING ANYMORE
LESS THAN A MINUTE READ
Title casing blog posts because I can never remember how to do it. In fact I’m going to start displaying titles in all caps when I get the time to write the code.
Answering emails on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays because email is asynchronous.
Making myself accomplish more than three important things every day because this paradoxically achieves more results than most people do with far more effort.
Taking my phone off of do not disturb …while at work because I gave my word that I would help make excellent software and I can’t do that if I’m distracted. …when I’m with my wife or friends because I want to be fully in the moment with them. …when I’m with my daughter because nothing is more important than that. …when I’m alone because when I show up for myself I heal myself.
Writing long blogs.
Holding myself to a ridiculous standard because I don’t need to motivate myself with a stick anymore.
Eating industrial seed oils because I love my body and want it to have things that nourish it.
Weightlifting because I healed enough trauma to not need big muscles anymore.
Editing or digitally framing my photos because it detracts from what I love about photography: taking photos.
Putting an image with every blog post because it makes my workflow more difficult.
Trying to get readers because I started blogging to share ideas not to become a blogger.
Ambitious DIY projects because if it seems “ambitious” it’s probably not realistic to attempt at my skill level.
Helping people because it deprives them of opportunities to improve (thanks to my wife for pointing this out in my control freak tendencies in the kitchen).
